37 weeks

this weekly appointment was interesting...i didn't get to see dr j because she was in surgery then came back to the office and ended up back at the hospital all within like 20 minutes. so...i saw the nurse. my blood pressure was high, but i didn't have any protein in my urine, so i was just told to "take it easy" until my next appointment. one day of doing too much, might push my blood pressure into the not-so-great for momma or baby range and we don't want that. she also checked my cervix which was still dilated to 1 cm, but now 50% effaced & soft. the big surprise though...baby girl is no longer engaged! in fact, she couldn't feel a "presenting part" at all! she said baby girl's head is still down, but that she's floating again and seems to like her ability to move around too much. i knew i felt different these last few days as her body parts seemed to be in a different place, but i didn't realize she'd popped right out of her ready-set-go position! i have a feeling she's gonna be a stubborn one :) so anyway, dr j called me once i was home and informed me that she wanted me to come back in this friday or monday to have my blood pressure rechecked and for her to strip my membranes. she REALLY wants to get baby girl out without officially inducing yet and this is her best shot at it. for convenience sake, i'm going in on monday rather than friday and we'll go from there. even if dr j's plan doesn't work, we'll have a baby girl in 12 days :)
