eli worked SO hard to create this thomas land for he and his brothers to enjoy. it's even more massive than it appears here, but the camera didn't do it justice! good times :)

the joys of boys

too busy playing outside at mawmaw & pawpaw's house to go inside and go! i would say he's almost completely potty trained though...yippee!!

caleb's turn

jerry took caleb this time to the colts preseason game & they had a blast!! he definitely enjoyed his special time with daddy :) of course, pictures of caleb would not be the same if he didn't make all of his goofy faces!!

preK

caleb had his first day of preK this week!! he's excited because he's in the green group...his favorite color!!!
i think his baby brother is in for a shock when caleb goes all 3 days next week. as soon as i got home from taking caleb to school, abram asked, "can we go pick up eli & caleb now? i miss them." he truly does miss his best buddies when they're at school! after we picked caleb up from school, abram said, "so, caleb. how was your day?" precious! i love my boys :)

big brothers again!

just wanted to capture the boys' reaction to the baby news on camera...we showed them the ultrasound pictures and asked eli to tell caleb what it said..."baby". then eli immediately asked, "is it gonna be a girl?!" ha-ha!! not so sure about that, but we'll find out in a few months! we've been blessed with healthy, happy babies and i'll be okay with one more of that, thanks :)

yep, you read it right! baby #4 is on the way. i've been anxiously awaiting my appointment today to announce the exciting news! so, to catch you up...
on july 25th i saw the magical 2 lines on the test and nonchalantly told jerry "well, it looks like hcg is present". we were somewhat reserved with our emotions, but still very excited. the last 3 1/2 weeks have been spent anticipating my first OB appointment where i got to see the flashing light...baby's heartbeat!!! my dates were a little off, but baby #4 was ready to show off that strong little heart even at 7 weeks/2 days! i've been feeling okay, just the usual pregnancy stuff. i knew something was up last month when i starting craving iced tea. in fact, i don't even want diet coke most of the time, which if you know me at all, you know that i'm one of the biggest diet coke drinkers around! the summertime cherries have been a favorite...i could eat the whole carton if they weren't so much work to eat. so to sum it up (and i'll only do this after my appointments to spare you from weekly details!)

baby's status: heartrate=140, cute lil embryo due april 5th

mommy's status: nauseous, excited!!
cravings: whatever sounds good at the moment...it seriously changes that quick :)
dislikes: fluids, MANY of the smells at work (hospital), sweets

it's always surprising to me when people i don't even know make comments on my blog. i mean, to think someone who doesn't know me or my family actually has an interest in my life is kind of crazy. but it does makes me love the blog world even more...getting to know complete strangers all over the world! well, i was very excited to receive a blog award from a reader who found me through the blog hop. thank you SO much, miss HeatherOz, for thinking my blog is fabulous!! i will be sure to pass along this award very soon!

he can do it!

arms moving, legs kicking, holding his breath...this kid can swim! caleb just took off yesterday in mawmaw & pawpaw keith's pool and started to swim. we were so proud of him and he was too! he even figured out how his goggles are supposed to work and was belly laughing at the fact that he could hear & see eli under the water. it was awesome!!

we are HUGE colts fans at our house and we finally got season tickets! this first year will be spent pretty high up in the new lucas oil stadium, but it's a start. we decided to let the boys use our pre-season tickets just to see if they would even sit through a game or show any interest in it. eli was the first to go and he enjoyed his special time with just daddy. it was a hot night since the roof was open, but he survived until the beginning of the 4th quarter...a worthless, horrible game on the colts part, but still a fun time for daddy & son.

10 years

when we were on our honeymoon, one of the only american couples we met was celebrating their 10 year anniversary. i remember thinking how far away that was and how someday that would be us. little did i know how fast 10 years would go by and how quickly it would be us! at 4:30 today, 10 years ago, i walked down the aisle...
"and i thought i loved you then"...

concert

jerry and i went out last night for an early anniversary dinner & then to the brad paisley concert. talk about feeling old!! drunk 20 year olds all around us...it was interesting to say the least. thankfully we were in the pavillion so we didn't have to deal with being beat up or having drinks spilled on us. we were wondering if our kids were gonna end up parent-less when we observed all of these completely drunk/can't walk people getting into their cars and DRIVING home!! ridiculous! anyway, we still had a great time together enjoying our almost 10 year anniversary.

road trip

this past weekend, jerry and i drove 5 1/2 hours (alone!!) to our dear friends/old neighbors' only son's wedding. what a great time we had catching up with dave & patti while we celebrated with their family & friends. good times!! we miss them down on roundrock court for sure!
