"...the journey of caring for, raising, training, and loving children will mark us indelibly and powerfully. We cannot be the same people we once were; we will be forever changed, eternally altered. Spiritually speaking, we need to raise children every bit as much as they need us to raise them."

disney, anyone??
i don't know who all reads this, but i'm hoping some recent disney world visitors do :) i've been asking for advice from friends that have gone there recently as to what we must see, do, where to stay, etc. we're hoping to go there next fall, but have to try to get disney and the beach in in only 4-5 days while staying within a decent budget. any info would be great! thanks ;)

giving
the first stop on the school party list today was at preschool. caleb's teachers had the great idea of giving books to sheltering wings instead of doing the traditional book exchange. so caleb got to give the ceo of the shelter, who happens to be his maw maw, his book!
i got to open a gift he's been working on all year, a calendar 'made with love' by mr. caleb matthew :)
seriously, could he be any cuter?!!!
next stop, was the big 1st grade party that daddy got to help with. eli gave his teacher the bookmark he made her and a new game for the class. he played some fun games and ate lots of yummy treats! he loves school, but is very excited about being off now for christmas break!

the big stage
caleb got to perform a christmas song with his fellow preschoolers at church all weekend in big church on "the big stage". since he was one of the younger ones, he was sitting down in the front and took his performance very seriously. he concentrated so hard on the motions, that i don't think he ever really sang at all. it was adorable though, as you can imagine, and caused lots of happy tears throughout the sanctuary. unfortunately, i didn't get very good pictures because of the lighting.
