cookie flop

eli requested to make chocolate chip cookies last night which i thought was a great idea since i already had the butter out thinking it would be the perfect evening to make cookies :) well, the dough was YUMMY...
but something went VERY wrong in the oven......
they became paper thin and crunchy! chocolate chip cookies are usually one of my specialties...until last night! i still wonder what happened. eli was so cute. he said, "it's okay mom. they still taste good." he even took one in his lunch today :)
