1 month

kinley joelle is already 1 month old! she now weighs 9-15 (75 %ile) and is 22 in long (80 %ile), which makes her my smallest 1 month old to date. she's starting to smile now & this first picture is my attempt to capture her sweetness on camera. otherwise, she's a very relaxed, happy baby...sleeping a good 5-6 hour stretch at night most of the time & nursing about every 2 hours during the day. she stills sleeps a lot during the day, way more than i remember her brothers sleeping. my grandma calls that a lazy baby, which is actually a compliment in her world :) i LOVE that she's "lazy" because that makes her very cuddly & content! she did have some belly issues off/on for a short bit, but the lactation consultant got us through that with ease. kinley loves her daddy & her body instantly relaxes when she hears his voice & her eyes get wide. her brothers tend to have the same effect as well, although they can't seem to sit long enough for her to really listen/watch them :) she loves her pacifier which is sort of a bad thing because she hasn't figured out how to keep it in her mouth. poor eli has to sit by her in the van to be our "binky patrol", although he's very proud of this position :) it makes for a much quieter van ride if she can get that binky when she needs it! she still likes the swing & will sit in it happily while i take a shower or eat dinner. she also loves to have her back patted & i'm pretty sure i'll have carpal tunnel syndrome from that soon enough, ha! but, oh how we LOVE, LOVE this sweet baby girl...or as abram calls her, "the baby sister".
