a ninja birthday was his request, so we made due with what we had since you can't really find ninja stuff. he loved it regardless and did his best to handle the attention on his special day. his shy, serious self comes out when people are all looking at him, so the gift opening was slightly painful. but he managed to be all smiles for the yummy ice cream cake.

little boy sleepover

caleb had a few of his favorite buddies over for his birthday. after playing monster golf & eating pizza, we made monster cupcakes and camped out on the living room floor to watch a movie and eat lots of candy & popcorn! some crazy guy even served breakfast the next morning. it was an awesome time!!

got to take pictures of this special family over the weekend out in the country. it was a perfect fall day to capture some great shots. the kids were so good and did a great job roaming in some prickly fields. i came home with some splinter type things in my feet (bad idea to wear flipflops!!), but it was well worth it! beautiful family :)

1.5 years old

miss K is 24 lbs & 32 1/4 inches tall...60%ile. just a little over average in size, but way over the top in energy! this girl does not sit down! my once lazy, calm baby continues to surprise me with her feisty, spunky, fearless self. she has more words now and is very persistent if we aren't understanding what she's saying. she's a little scrounge when it comes to food. she'll have dinner off of everyone's plate and come up to you with her mouth wide open waiting for a bite. she LOVES to be outside and/or go bye-bye. in fact, she'll bring her shoes to us, hinting that she's ready to get out of the house. she can now call eli by name. she LOVES him...he gets her out of her crib some mornings, reads her books at night, puts her in the shower with him & washes her hair, and will even pick him over me sometimes! she is also very partial to her pawpaws, frequently asking for them. i will admit that she is WAY different than her brothers were. she is not content to just sit and play...she must.be.moving. the only time she isn't on the go is in her carseat or in bed. she is still a great sleeper. taking a long afternoon nap and sleeping 12 hours at night. she's not really into baby dolls at all, but tyrone (the brown skinned cabbage patch kid) and elmo do sleep with her every night. "mo mo" (elmo) is a favorite as is "do da"(dora), although she won't sit long enough to watch even a few minutes of either on tv. occasionally, that would be nice. oh well, she keeps up on our toes and we love her to pieces!!!
