thanksgiving festivities

started off with a preschool party...



then a kindergarten miniversion of a feast & handsome pilgrim...

the perfect day

today was one of those days you wish you had more of...had dinner in the crockpot by 9am, got to finish sewing kinley's thanksgiving dress, baked pumpkin muffins, went to the library, and volunteered with my favorite doctor at the care center. as i was strolling my baby girl through the library, i looked down at her perfect little toes and literally, stopped & took a picture. in that moment, everything felt absolutely perfect. so of course, i thought of this lady antebellum song..."it was the perfect day. what i'd give if i could find a way to stay, lost in this moment now. ain't worried bout tomorrow when you're busy living in a perfect day." and how could i not share these perfect, little piggies :)

daddy tried her out on this and she loved it...well, for the few minutes she actually stayed on it anyway :)

7 months

ok, so i'm late on this one...miss K is 7 months old now & finally sitting up better! AND rolling everywhere...EVERYWHERE. we've found her under chairs, under the kitchen table, etc. the boys are amazed at her rolling ability, ha! she'll occasionally scoot her legs and butt up like she's gonna crawl, but has yet to really do it. she still loves the saucer & jumperoo. in fact, she's become quite the squealer/screamer, especially when she's jumping & playing. she's always been such a quiet baby, so this has been quite a change, but it's adorable! i think she's realizing that if she wants to be heard around here, she better step it up :) she's still refusing anything on a spoon, but has done great with finger foods. it's hard to figure out what's gonna be appropriate though at this point with no teeth. she's content though, so i figure she'll let us know when she needs more variety. she's still sleeping 12 hours at night and taking usually 2-3 naps a day. she has even started falling asleep in her carseat on occasion! her tolerance for that dreaded seat has definitely gotten better. of course her favorite "toys" are her brothers, daddy, and the dog! although i AM very sad to see the tiny baby stage slip away, i'm loving every minute of her little personality emerging. she is the sweetest thing i've ever known...my heart is so very full :)


and there she goes...it was a good effort though :)

oh yeah, one more thing...she finally got tears right before she turned 7 months!
