we took eli & daddy with us this time to start in the summer and ended up taking home these 2 animals!

1st cannonball of the season to welcome SUMMERTIME!!!

2 months

my baby girl is eatin' well these days...coming in the 75%ile for weight at 11 lbs 10 oz and 80%ile for height at 23 1/4 inches long. of course, her weight doesn't quite compare to her brothers who were all over 14 1/2 lbs at this age! she seems so tiny to us and i'm hanging on to all her newborn-ness as long as i can :) she's become a pretty predictable baby...staying awake for about an hour at a time and then falling asleep on her own by shoving her fist in her mouth. it's only a matter of time before she relaxes her hand enough to find that thumb! of course, she likes to scrunch up the blankie with her other hand. she's still nursing about every 2 hours during the day, but she'll sleep for a good 6-8 hour stretch most nights. she's starting to give us tons of big smiles and at times looks like she's gonna belt out a big squeal or something, but instead we get a tiny little coo. must be a girl thing :) she loves her playmat now and will bat at the toys on it. she still likes her binkie, especially when she's in the snugli or her carseat. her hair has NOT fallen out yet!! by this time, her brothers were all losing theirs, so i'm wondering if she might keep it. it still looks like she has blonde roots, but i have yet to find clumps of hair anywhere :) her little eyelashes seem to grow more every day. in fact, they've started curling up to where you can see them when she opens those big, blue eyes. i love them!! she's just so sweet & happy...it's still unbelievable to me at times that she's mine :)

oops!

so i finally got them in the tub together...looking all cute at each other, cooing, etc. and the breastfed baby does what breastfed babies do...POOPS!! poor abe got outta there as quick as he could, ha!!

spring at the zoo

i was a little nervous about taking the 2 littler boys to the zoo by myself with kinley because i wasn't sure how she would do. it's always weird anyway going places like this without eli because i don't want him to miss out on the fun and honestly, it's not the same without him. we did it though and did it successfully! she was great & i managed to feed her at a bench discreetly while the boys mapped out where we were going next. somehow i even lifted the boys onto the carousel animals while holding kinley in the snugli...probably not the safest idea for either party, but we got it done! so our 1st zoo trip this year was a success & next time we're taking eli AND daddy :)
