sigh

we're home!! we were greeted by these handsome little boys who had made their daddy this sign plus their own little cards to him :) their gracious aunt lindsey managed to take care of them plus her own baby boy plus make crafts?! she's awesome and she's MY sister-in-law! we are so thankful for a close family who can help us out in times like these. i knew maw maw would spoil them rotten yesterday and lindsey would keep them safe and sound til we got home! anyway, jerry is doing good today, just really tired and sore. somehow we've all managed to get colds, so he has some of that too. his heart, so far, is cooperating. last night was rough and when i left the last post i was getting worried about him but by midnight he was feeling better, breathing better, and able to move around. he slept well, but then woke up feeling extremely nauseated...had something to do with the amount of medication it takes to keep a big boy from waking up/moving during a procedure like that! now our prayer is that the ablation worked for the long run and not just 2 days like last time! he's in good hands though in every way :)

update

we're in a room after 9 1/2 hours of waiting...jerry is having a rough time. he's requiring an oxygen mask to maintain his sats and is in a lot of pain. his blood pressure during the procedure kept dropping so they had to give him 6 liters of fluid. because of that, he's very swollen and needed lasix (a diuretic) to get rid of all the extra fluid they put in him. so far though, he's maintained a normal heart rate with no irregularities. at midnight he will be able to get out bed and move his legs which is his main complaint right now. hopefully as he's able to move more, he can clear out his lungs so that he can get rid of the oxygen. in the morning the doctor will come in and see how he's doing so that we can possibly go home. i miss my boys :(

well, it's been over 8 hours since jerry went back for surgery. i just had the nurse call back into the room to get an update...his heart is NOT cooperating. the doctor said his heart will go into normal sinus rhythm for awhile and then it goes back to the irregular beats (atrial flutter) again. they anticipate another 2 hours or so. i'm up for another 2 hours of waiting if it means that he is fixed!

ablation #2

tomorrow we are going to methodist at 6am for jerry's 2nd cardiac ablation. please pray that this will cure his arrhythmia for good! he is so ready to be "normal" again. i will post updates on his condition as i can. thank you for your thoughts and prayers!!

outnumbered

molly is the only girl so far on the larrison grandkid side, but she has no problems keeping up with the boys. in fact, she's usually the 'boss' of the little boys. she took charge yesterday with abram...

eli had his 1st sleep-over this weekend (which means caleb sort of did too) with his cousin & best buddy, dru. they went nonstop from saturday morning until sunday night! let's just say, they will ALL sleep well tonight and that includes mommy!!
