christmas at the zoo

this was our first year to check out the zoo at christmas time. it really was magical to see it all decked out in lights and decorations!

unfortunately, the train had broken down in the middle of the track, so we weren't able to do one of the things we were really looking forward to! we waited for awhile to see if they could fix it, but no luck. below are our "waiting pictures".




baby girl was not a fan of sitting on the horse by herself, so we settled for momma's lap for the ride :)




after the zoo, we drove to downtown to see the circle of lights and this big guy was strolling right by us. his nails were even painted sparkly green...very cool to see the carriages decked out for christmas.

after almost driving to ohio with the kids, i finally found jerry's army base before his party started! the kids got to talk to santa (the babe did NOT like him!), make balloon creations, eat popcorn, snow cones, & cotton candy, and kinley & abram even won door prizes! we were worn out by the time we made it back home, but it was a fun time.
