"...the journey of caring for, raising, training, and loving children will mark us indelibly and powerfully. We cannot be the same people we once were; we will be forever changed, eternally altered. Spiritually speaking, we need to raise children every bit as much as they need us to raise them."

a few more firsts
although she's still a little floppy when sitting up, i decided to try kinley in her bike seat. i had to use her blanket to support her head from getting strangled by the straps, but she loved it!!

we rode over to one of the neighborhood parks and she got to swing for the 1st time. she wouldn't keep her fist out of her mouth long enough to see her smile, but she was giggling the whole time! it was precious!! i think she would've stayed in there for hours.

orange cubes

first of all, we still don't have a computer, so i'm dealing with a lack of photo editing ability and now for some reason, my pics are showing up super small!! oh well, i'll fix them when we're up and running again. anyway, i've decided to attempt making my own baby food for baby girl. it's kind of the "in" thing to do right now & it does save money, so i'm willing to try. the sweet potatoes were simple to do, but unfortunately kinley wasn't a fan...at least not yet. i'll keep offering it & hopefully she'll change her mind. otherwise, we may be wasting 48 cubes of sweet potatoes!

this picture cracks me up!!! shows her true feelings about the sweet potatoes, i think, ha!!!
